Azure Spot VMs provide access to unused Azure compute capacity at deep discounts. Spot pricing is available on single VMs in addition to VM scale sets (VMSS). This enables you to deploy a broader variety of workloads on Azure while enjoying access to discounted pricing compared to pay-as-you-go rates. Spot VMs offer the same characteristics as a pay-as-you-go virtual machine, the differences being pricing and evictions. Spot VMs can be evicted at any time if Azure needs capacity. Low-priority VMs will be deprecated

GCP Preemptible Instances are not covered by any Service Level Agreement

* AWS Spot Instances are available at up to a 90% discount compared to On-Demand prices.

* Within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the allowable VCN sizerange is /16 to /30.

* Mirantis, a Cloud consulting company focused on Kubernetes and OpenStack, acquired Docker Enterprise in November 2019.

* Salt is an open-source project created by SaltStack that enables infrastructure management in complex environments and is used widely in data centers and cloud environments. A critical vulnerability in the Salt server monitoring and configuration management tool that allowed remote code execution by attackers. Ghost, a content management platform, and Xen Orchestra, an orchestration platform for Xen servers, were hit by the attacks

Batch processing is easier and more affordably implemented than streaming ingestion.

* The most common kind of data ingestion is batch processing. Here, the ingestion layer periodically collects and groups source data and sends it to the destination system. Groups may be processed based on any logical ordering, the activation of certain conditions, or a simple schedule.

* Real-time processing also called stream processing or streaming involves no grouping at all. Data is sourced, manipulated, and loaded as soon as it’s created or recognized by the data ingestion layer. It may be appropriate for analytics that require continually refreshed data.

* Some “streaming” platforms (such as Apache Spark Streaming) actually utilize batch processing. Here the ingested groups are simply smaller or prepared at shorter intervals, but still not processed individually. This type of processing is often called micro batching and considered by some to be another distinct category of data ingestion.

* ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an international standard that covers the planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of an Information Security Management System.

* Service level agreements in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure range from least restrictive (data plane) to more restrictive (control plane) to most restrictive (performance).

* The Bluetooth chip has a receiver and a transmitter, it pings other phones when it comes in contact with another chip and the phone registers this ping making a record of it. Once a person is detected to be Covid positive, the government can decode the pings to inform whosoever has come in contact with the infected person.

* Bluetooth is a standard for short-range wireless communication between devices. Bluetooth 4.0 introduced a new "Low Energy" mode known as "Bluetooth Smart", BLE, or just LE which is limited to about 1Mbps but allows devices to leave their transmitters off most of the time. BLE provides most of its functionality through key/value pairs provided by the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT). The Web Bluetooth API lets websites discover and communicate with devices over the Bluetooth 4 wireless standard using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT).

Edge computing means processing data at the edge of the network, usually where it is generated. Instead of a cloud, data is processed by the device or by a local computer or server. Once, we start working on edge, a lot of the computations would happen onboard eliminating the need for sending everything to the cloud.

Pearson MyPedia is an interactive skill on Amazon Alexa for students and learners of all age groups to learning English

Jeanne Louise Calment was a French supercentenarian and the oldest human whose age was well-documented, with a lifespan of 122 years and 164 days. In 1965, aged 90 and with no heirs left, Calment signed a life estate contract on her apartment with notary public André-François Raffray, selling the property in exchange for a right of occupancy and a monthly revenue of 2,500 francs (€380) until her death. Raffray died in 1995, by which time Calment had received more than double the apartment's value from him, and his family had to continue making payments. She lived on her own from age 88 until shortly before her 110th birthday, when she decided to move to a nursing home.

* Bats are nocturnal mammals and give birth to pups. Pups are unable to fly for several months so the mothers can carry the pups when they fly. Bats defecate and urinate while in flight. Histoplasmosis is a disease associated with the droppings of bats known as guano. The disease primarily affects the lungs and can be life threatening, particularly to those with a weakened immune system. It is transmitted when a person inhales spores from fungus that grow on bird and bat droppings.

InMobi started in 2007, when it was known as mKhoj (mobile khoj), providing SMS-based search engine services. Started by the four founders out of a residential apartment in Bengaluru, it has since grown into one of India's first Unicorns.

* The Muga Silk of Assam, known for its extreme durability and natural yellowish-golden tint, was once reserved only for royalty. Today Muga Silk is Geographical Indication (GI) Tag protected.

* India is the world's biggest importer of edible oil.  The share of palm oil is more than 60 per cent of the country's total vegetable oil imports.

* Uttar Pradesh is India’s largest potato producer followed by West Bengal

According to the Vice President (sales & marketing) of Gemini Edibles & Fats India, said that palm oil demand had halved in the states the company operates in because 90% of hotels and restaurants use it.

Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya lived a spectacularly eventful life of 101 years
