* Psoriasis is an incurable autoimmune disease that causes plaques and lesions on the skin. Psoriasis is caused, at least in part, by the immune system mistakenly attacking healthy skin cells. If you're sick or battling an infection, your immune system will go into overdrive to fight the infection. This might start another psoriasis flare-up. Strep throat is a common trigger. Stress is a common trigger for a psoriasis flare. When symptoms develop on toenails and fingernails, they can resemble nail fungus. However, fungal infections are contagious, and psoriasis is not.

* Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. The pancreas can't make insulin because the immune system attacks it and destroys the cells that produce insulin. For decades, doctors and researchers believed that Type 2 diabetes was a metabolic disorder. This type of disorder occurs when your body's natural chemical processes don't work properly. Recent research suggests that Type 2 diabetes may actually be an autoimmune disease. Even well-controlled diabetics are immunocompromised to a degree. People with autoimmune disease aren't typically considered immunocompromised, unless they take certain medications that slow down their immune system.

MMT, the goliath in Indian online travel with a 60% share, owns RedBus, the leader in online bus ticketing in India. Ixigo acquired Hyderabad-based AbhiBus in August, 2021 and Confirm Ticket, a train utility and booking platform in February.
