AI Disclaimers: Don't Trust, Always Verify

Confident yet cautious, AI assistants tuck away their disclaimers in minuscule fonts, often hidden in plain sight.  Did you spot the following small print while chatting with the digital helpers?

  • ChatGPT can make mistakes. Check important info.
  • Gemini may display inaccurate info, including about people, so double-check its responses.
  • Claude can make mistakes. Please double-check responses.
  • Pi may make mistakes, please don't rely on its information.
  • Groq - Accuracy, correctness or appropriateness cannot be guaranteed.
Perplexity & Cohere don't have any explicit disclaimers but that doesn't mean they are completely reliable either.

AI assistants can also be opinionated, but they have the advantage of using disclaimers to play it safe.

For the question which emoji can be used to convey a "high five", the playful gesture to celebrate a shared success or accomplishment, check the answers from the popular AI assistants -

ChatGPT - people often use the folded hands emoji (🙏) or the raising hands emoji (🙌) to depict a high five. The folded hands emoji is generally meant to represent prayer or thankfulness but is sometimes interpreted as a high five due to the similarity in appearance.

Claude - A high five emoji would depict two hands flat against each other in a high-fiving gesture, like this ✋🤚 (using two separate emoji). This specifically represents the hand gesture of giving someone a high five.

Gemini - There isn't a dedicated "high five" emoji, but some people use the folded hands emoji playfully to represent a high five.

In many parts of the world, especially in Asia, the folded hands emoji is seen as the reverent "namaste" gesture, an ancient salutation that bridges the physical and spiritual realms. The namaste has deep cultural significance. It’s also used in messages to express condolences to someone grieving. But imagine the mix-up if someone mistook it for a casual "high five"!

Ah, the many perils of going digital!
