Psychological & cognitive traps to be aware of

In his book, "How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big: Kind of the Story of My Life", Scott Adams recommends the Wikipedia list of psychological & cognitive traps that humans often fall into and says it's a good idea to make psychology your lifelong study.

..just about everything I learn about human psychology ends up being useful. Every psychological on this list can be used to manipulate you. If there's something on this list that you're not familiar with, you're vulnerable to deception.

There are also other lists of logical fallacies to be aware of. 

These tricks or illusions of thought are very sneakily used by politicians and the media to fool people.
