* The Azure platform starts live migration in the following scenarios:
- Planned maintenance
- Hardware failure
- Allocation optimizations
Live migration is an operation that doesn't require a reboot and that preserves memory for the VM. It causes a pause or freeze, typically lasting no more than 5 seconds. Except for G, M, N, and H series, all infrastructure as a service (IaaS) VMs, are eligible for live migration. Eligible VMs represent more than 90 percent of the IaaS VMs that are deployed to the Azure fleet.

* Kubernetes has become the defacto standard container orchestrator, and the release of Kubernetes 1.14 includes production support for scheduling Windows containers on Windows nodes in a Kubernetes cluster, enabling a vast ecosystem of Windows applications to leverage the power of Kubernetes. In order to run Windows containers, your Kubernetes cluster must include multiple operating systems, with control plane nodes running Linux and workers running either Windows or Linux depending on your workload needs. Windows Server 2019 is the only Windows operating system supported. All AKS cluster are created with a default first node pool, which is Linux based.  The first Linux-based node pool can't be deleted unless the AKS cluster itself is deleted.

* For greater control on all maintenance activities including zero-impact and rebootless updates, you can use Maintenance Control feature. You must be using either Azure Dedicated Hosts or an isolated VM. Maintenance control gives you the option to skip all platform updates and apply the updates at your choice of time within a 35-day rolling window

* NAT gateway resources are part of Virtual Network NAT (network address translation) and provide outbound Internet connectivity for one or more subnets of a virtual network.

* An industry rule of thumb is that, depending on how carefully they work, programmers make between 0.5 and 50 errors in every 1,000 lines of code they write - The Economist

* Autonomous Database is now available to run in customer data centers both as a standalone offering on Exadata Cloud@Customer and as part of Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer, the industry’s first on-premises cloud region. Together, these newly announced products offer you the control you need over your data while still addressing demanding regulatory, data residency, and application latency requirements.
Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 is approximately seventy minutes long and is made up of four movements. The symphony was remarkable for several reasons. It was longer and more complex than any symphony to date and required a larger orchestra. But the most unique feature of “The Ninth” that premiered in May 1824, was that Beethoven included chorus and vocal soloists in the final movement. He was the first major composer to do this in a symphony. The words in the final movement were taken from the "Ode to Joy" poem written by Friedrich von Schiller in 1785. The poem has a strong message to all mankind: it is about living in peace and harmony together. The “Ode to Joy” has been interpreted in almost every way imaginable, and has been employed as an official or unofficial anthem by an enormous range of entities, including the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the Nazi Party, the East-West German Olympic Team and the European Union. It is believed that Beethoven had almost completely lost his hearing by 1814 but continued to compose. The exact cause of Beethoven's hearing loss is unknown. Theories range from syphilis to lead poisoning, typhus, or possibly even his habit of plunging his head into cold water to keep himself awake. At one point he claimed he had suffered a fit of rage in 1798 when someone interrupted him at work.

* Le Québec is the only region of North America whose official language is French! Québec French (also known as Québécois French or Québécois) vocabulary is distinctive from Metropolitan French; primarily due to the strong influence of the English language upon it.

* Voting in Singapore is compulsory for citizens

* Fraudulent misrepresentation may be defined as any type of lie or false statement that is used to trick a person into an agreement. The misrepresentation can occur through many ways, including written words, spoken words, gestures or body motions (such as a nod), or through silence or inaction.

* In the Alters family (there are many), only two have Indian passports: Padma Shri Tom Alter and his son Jamie Alter.

* In the year to July 8, close to 80% of 328 equity-oriented schemes reported negative returns; in two years, as many as 65% did, while, in three years, 41% of the schemes posted negative returns. The average returns from large cap schemes too have been negative for the past year, flat over two years and a positive 3.36% over three years. While SEBI needs to make it harder for fund managers to take on undue risks in the chase for returns, investors must accept MFs are risky products. They need to be choosy.
