Heatmap - Examples

A heatmap (aka heat map) depicts values for a main variable of interest across two axis variables as a grid of colored squares. 

There was only one instance in 3 decades where there was 20+% return over 3 consecutive months in 1992 and that too was a result of a scam. Apart from this there has not been a year where there’s 10% return in 3 consecutive months till 2020.

Higher volatility may not always be a bad thing, and some investors might prefer that as it allows them to earn superlative returns in some years.

The above table from a Times of India infographic shows that prevalence of Dengue was higher during the October-November months in the last decade.
