* Azure Private Endpoint is a network interface that that uses a private IP address from your virtual network to connect you privately and securely to a service powered by Azure Private Link. You can use Private Endpoints to connect to an Azure PaaS service that supports Private Link (like Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database) or to your own Private Link Service. By enabling a private endpoint, you're bringing the service into your virtual network. A private endpoint connects to one Private Link Service. You can have multiple Private Endpoints in same VNet or subnet. They can connect to different services. Both Private Endpoint and Private Link Service need to disable network policies to function properly. Private Link Service over a Basic Load Balancer isn't supported.

* The MITRE ATT&CK framework is a knowledge base of known tactics and techniques that are involved in cyberattacks. Started with coverage for Windows and Linux, the matrices of MITRE ATT&CK cover the various stages that are involved in cyberattacks (tactics) and elaborate the known methods in each one of them (techniques). Those matrices help organizations understand the attack surface in their environments and make sure they have adequate detections and mitigations to the various risks.

* The Azure Security Center team has built the Microsoft’s Threat Matrix for Kubernetes to map the security landscape of Kubernetes.

* reCAPTCHA Enterprise is a frictionless fraud detection service. It can be installed on any web page at the point of action—such as the purchase page—to help detect and prevent fraud. Meanwhile, legitimate users will be able to make purchases or view pages and fake users will be blocked. - Top 10 use cases for reCAPTCHA Enterprise to defend against OWASP Web-Automated Attacks [PDF]

* Blink is an open-source browser layout engine developed by Google as part of Chromium. Blink began as a fork of the WebCore library in WebKit, which handles layout, rendering, and DOM, but now stands on its own as a separate rendering engine. Chromium Blink is implemented on seven platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Fuchsia, Android, and Android WebView.

WebKit began life as a fork of KDE's KHTML and KJS libraries, but many individuals and companies have since contributed (including KDE, Apple, Google, and Nokia). WebKit is an Apple trademark, and the framework is distributed under a BSD-form license. However, two important components fall under the LGPL: the WebCore rendering library and the JavaScriptCore engine.

* Google offers reCAPTCHA (v3 and v2) and reCAPTCHA Enterprise to help you protect your sites from fraudulent activities, spam, and abuse. reCAPTCHA protects your website from fraud and abuse. Google's Chrome Web Store offers Chrome extensions that can break CAPTCHAs.

* You can buy Super Thanks on participating creators' YouTube videos and show your support for YouTube channels. Creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue that is recognized by Google after local sales tax and applicable App Store fees on iOS are deducted.

OneNote - Best Practices by Dr Nitin Paranjape:

  • Use the OneNote Desktop app and save it to OneDrive to access it from multiple devices
  • Disable Backup if you're on lean storage. File > Options > Save & Backup | Change "Number of backup copies to keep:" from the default 2 to 0
  • se the Feed option to check recent updates across multiple pages
  • You can either type, dictate or write with a stylus
  • If you take notes while recording, OneNote can help you jump to the point at which a word was spoken
  • You can link a Note from an Outlook meeting and open it in the future from Outlook
  • Items marked as Tasks in a Note will appear as a Task in Outlook and the completion status is synced.

* Shantiniketan also spelled Santiniketan, was previously called Bhubandanga (named after Bhuban Dakat, a local dacoit), and owned by the Tagore family. In 1862, Maharshi Debendranath Tagore, father of Rabindranath Tagore, came across a landscape, which he found to be very peaceful and an ideal place for meditating. He renamed it Shantiniketan, which means abode (niketan) of peace (shanti). It became a spiritual centre where people were invited to join for meditation and prayers. Debendranath Tagore founded an 'Ashram' here in 1863. In 1901, Rabindranath Tagore started a school at Shantiniketan. Tagore's vision was a world where man exists in perfect harmony with nature. It was named 'Patha Bhavana' and started with only five students. Open-air education as opposed to being cloistered in the four walls of a classroom became a reality here. It was a school of his ideals, whose central premise was that learning in a natural environment would be more enjoyable and fruitful. After he received the Nobel Prize, the school was expanded into an International University. It was renamed Visva Bharati. Tagore envisioned a centre of learning which would have the best of both the east and the west. He established the Visva Bharati University in West Bengal. The university holds two campuses. One is at Shantiniketan and the other at Sriniketan. Sriniketan focuses on agriculture, adult education, village welfare, cottage industries and handicrafts. Indian Nobel laureate Amartya Sen was born in Shantiniketan. It was Rabindranath Tagore who christened Amita Sen's son Amartya. The Prime Minister of India is the Chancellor (Acharya) of the University.  - Tata Building India

* Leaves of the Saptaparni trees are given to graduating students at the annual convocation. Also known as Blackboard tree or Devil's tree, its scientific name is Alstonia scholaris. It is the State Tree of West Bengal.

* Trees planted under afforestation programmes must be evaluated for their allergen potential. Mulberry (Morus alba) is planted extensively in India but because of its allergenic pollen, its plantation is prohibited in certain arid regions in USA. Not all green is good for human beings. Trees with small flowers produce abundant dry pollen. Ten per cent of the Indian population today is affected by major allergic disorders. Of them, about four per cent suffer from allergic rhinitis and over one per cent from bronchial asthma. The allergenic protein content of pollen from the same tree species can also vary from one region to another, depending on local humidity and temperature. The protein concentration of Holbptelea integrifolia is more than double in Delhi than what it is in Bangalore.

* While all Indian States have state emblem, an animal, a bird, a flower and a tree, some also have a second animal (fish, butterfly, reptile, aquatic animal, heritage animal) as well as fruits.

* A carnivorous plant is one that's adapted to catch and digest animals. Today there are some 800 known carnivorous speciesMost carnivorous plants consume insects, but some larger plants feast on small animals, such as frogs or mice.

* Carnivores vary in shape and size, but they often share similar traits. For example, most carnivores have sharp teeth adapted for capturing prey and tearing flesh. Additionally, many carnivores have relatively large brains. Carnivores also have a single stomach chamber and a simple digestive system, unlike herbivores, who often have a stomach with multiple chambers and a specialized digestive system.

* Tears have an enzyme (lysozyme) that kills bacteria, reducing the risk of eye infections.

* Attached to the lens are ciliary muscles that can flex or relax to control the shape of the lens. Presbyopia occurs when the natural lens starts to stiffen in our aging eyes. At this point, the ciliary muscles can no longer change the shape of the lens easily. As a result, your eyes have a hard time focusing at near. You may begin to have trouble reading small print, or experiencing eye strain in the early stages of presbyopia.

* Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes irreversible damage to the optic nerves. As glaucoma progresses, people may notice peripheral vision (side vision) loss. Patients with advanced glaucoma experience tunnel vision, making it hard to see things that are not directly in front of them. There is also a genetic component involved with glaucoma, so knowing your family history is important. There is no cure for glaucoma. Treatments focus on slowing down the progression of glaucoma so that patients do not lose any more vision. The primary form of glaucoma treatment is using medicated eye drops to lower your eye pressure.

* Contrary to the popular notion, nightingales sing at all hours of the day and night

Personal evolution is both the greatest accomplishment and the greatest reward. PAIN + REFLECTION = PROGRESS
