* Github offers:

  • GitHub Copilot Free - 2,000 code completions and 50 chat messages per month (new) with a choice between Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet or OpenAI’s GPT-4o model. 

* With the analysis tool toggled on in feature preview, the new Claude 3.5 Haiku can now directly analyze Excel files to pull data, evaluate formulas, recreate a formatted spreadsheet as an Artifact. It can interpret large spreadsheets up to 30MB for instant insights.

* Query on ChatGPT requires 8-10x more power than Google: N Venu, MD & CEO, India and South Asia, Hitachi Energy

* Qlik provides a data integration, analytics, and artificial intelligence platform. Gartner has recognized Qlik as a Leader in Analytics and BI platforms for the IC straight year. 

* The recommended amount of water intake is 2.5 to 3.5 liters per day, which should be spread out throughout the day. About 20% of daily water requirement also comes from food (especially fruits) and other drinks (such as milk, tea, juice, etc). Though healthy kidneys can handle excess water intake, there is an upper limit. Water intoxication can result if water intake is more than 1.5 liters per hour or more (this can vary from person-to-person).  

* The US spends $4.5 trillion or 17.3% of its humongous GDP on healthcare.

* Red sanders, or red sandalwood, is listed as an endangered species under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, making its felling or sale by private players illegal. The species is endemic to AP’s Rayalaseema region. However, India received permission to remove the species from the endangered list, allowing limited legal sales with special govt authorisation. The box office collections of the film Pushpa Part 1 and 2 (around Rs 1,500 crore) are in stark contrast to the reality of the Andhra Pradesh govt’s struggles to earn a pro fit from red sanders auction, with the international market showing little interest. - Times of India

* For nearly two centuries, the British and successive Indian governments maintained a special postal category called 'Book Post' for books and periodicals, offering rates nearly a quarter of standard postal charges. Books, magazines, and periodicals all enjoyed these concessions. With a vast network covering 19,101 pin codes and 154,725 post offices, India Post ensured swift delivery—most parcels arrived within a week, and local deliveries often reached their destinations the next day.  On December 18, 2024, India Post abruptly ended its 'Book Post' service, shocking book lovers and the book industry.
