I found the Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA) free course Developing Windows Azure and Web Services Jump Start more interesting and useful than the Microsoft Press exam training guide for the 70-487.
MVA also provides preparation material for exams 480 & 486. For becoming a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD:Web Applications), you have to pass the exams 480, 486 & 487.
The slides used in the course are very well done!
