* Azure Arc extends Azure Resource Manager capabilities to Linux and Windows servers, as well as Kubernetes clusters on any infrastructure across on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge.
To request a resource quota increase, go to the Azure portal and file a support issue from the Subscriptions > Usage + quotas section. For resource groups, the quota is for each individual region, not for the entire subscription.

* OpenAI’s new software, called GPT-3, is by far the most powerful “language model” ever created. A language model is an artificial intelligence system that has been trained on an enormous corpus of text; with enough text and enough processing, the machine begins to learn probabilistic connections between words. More plainly: GPT-3 can read and write. Machines that can understand and respond to humans in our own language could create more helpful digital assistants, more realistic video game characters, or virtual teachers personalized to every student’s learning style. GPT-3 is capable of generating entirely original, coherent and sometimes even factual prose. And not just prose — it can write poetry, dialogue, memes, computer code and who knows what else. For now, the company is letting only a small number of people use the system, and it is vetting each application produced with it. The company also prohibits GPT-3 from impersonating humans — that is, all text produced by the software must disclose that it was written by a bot - NY Times

* In May 2018, US retail chain Walmart officially announced its intent to acquire a 77% controlling stake in Flipkart for US$16 billion, subject to regulatory approval. In July, 2020, Flipkart acquired Walmart India to launch wholesale digital marketplace.
* Andrew "Boz" Bosworth, Vice President of Virtual and Augmented reality at Facebook, regrets the occasional interpersonal failures, where he failed to build a relationship with someone or failed to connect their talents in a way that allowed them to produce something greater. For Boz, the social-emotional component of leadership, was just as important as his computer science skills.
