* Too much choice can cause indecision and delay. Multiple contractors in your house simultaneously doing home improvement can create a lot of complexity and coordination for you to manage. The same dynamics exist for multicloud. Some companies choose to be multicloud because they’ve adopt a best-of-breed approach, selecting certain providers for the tasks at which their technology excels. Some companies become multicloud for regional or compliance needs while some find themselves in a multicloud situation because of mergers and acquisitions that bring other clouds into their portfolio. - Do’s and don’ts of a successful multicloud strategy
* Modern hypervisors are pretty efficient. VMware reports hypervisor overhead rates of just 2 percent compared to bare metal [PDF]
* When running Kubernetes on VMs instead of bare-metal, virtualization is going to reduce total resource availability for your pods by about 10% to 20%. When you run your nodes as VMs, you need to orchestrate those VMs in addition to orchestrating your containers. As a result, a VM-based Kubernetes cluster has two independent orchestration layers to manage. Another factor that should influence your decision to run Kubernetes on bare metal versus VMs is network performance.

* ChatGPT, which generates human-like text in real time, is the latest addition to OpenAI Inc.’s suite of machine learning-driven language models. It is specifically designed to generate text in a conversational manner, making it ideal for applications such as chatbots and virtual assistants. According to OpenAI, ChatGPT—or Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer—was trained on a massive dataset of human conversation, allowing it to learn complexities of natural language. That allows it to generate text that is coherent and fluent, making it difficult to distinguish from text written by a human. OpenAI was co-founded by Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk and Sam Altman with other investors about seven years ago to develop AI technologies that “benefits all of humanity”. Musk left in 2019 after disagreements over its direction. It is now heavily funded by Microsoft Corp. ChatGPT—like any other artificial intelligence—can generate text from datasets available to it. It cannot create new information. And when it attempts to do so, the result is confident prose with inherent bias and inaccuracies. ChatGPT is a giant leap forward for natural language processing. It’s also a far more accurate research tool than Google - BloombergQuint
* GPT-3 can produce high quality text that is often indistinguishable from human writing.
* DALL-E can generate high quality images from written descriptions.

* In March 1965, at the age of 30, Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov made the first spacewalk. It sits on a mountainside at an altitude of 9,186 ft (2800m) with a 12-degree slope. The world's highest civilian airport is the Daocheng Yading Airport in China's Sichuan province.

Food and Agricultural Organization has warned that the decline in bees threatens global food security. It’s generally the pest insects that are thriving because they’re the ones that breed faster and are favored by human conditions. With warmer, wetter weather, two disease-spreading mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are expected to expand in Asia, North America and Europe - Reuters
* Oleander (Nerium oleander) is a common ornamental evergreen shrub. It is used as a freeway median divider in warmer states, such as California. This plant is extremely toxic, and a single leaf may kill an adult. Oleander is so toxic, humans don't even have to ingest it to experience symptoms of poisoning — just touching the plant and tree sap with bare hands or inhaling the smoke of burning oleander can induce toxic effects. While there’s no umbrella rule, one must especially stay away from plants having dark red or bright-yellow flowers. Definitely keep away from seeds because they are the most potent, causing the fastest shock to the body. While it's difficult to tell what plants are toxic and what is not by merely looking at them, the thumb rule is to just never eat anything from a plant you've never known about.
* According to the Guinness Book of World Records, based on the amount of poison it takes to kill a human, the most poisonous common plant in the world is the castor bean (Ricinus communis).
