* Microsoft Data & AI services
* OpenAI Whisper Transcriber creates a transcript from any media files.
* From 2014 to 2021, Kite was a startup using AI to help developers write code. It folded up in 2022 because according to Adam Smith its founder, it "failed to deliver our vision of AI-assisted programming because we were 10+ years too early to market, i.e. the tech is not ready yet". He further candidly admits - "We failed to build a business because our product did not monetize, and it took too long to figure that out. We took a chance that we could dramatically accelerate the rate of software development in the world. We ran the experiment, and despite great efforts on everyone’s parts, the experiment did not work."
* Amazon CodeGuru is an AI-powered code review tool that uses machine learning to identify issues and suggest improvements in code written in Java or Python. It provides recommendations for performance optimization, resource leaks, and other issues. The Free Tier lasts 90 days.
* Amazon CodeWhisperer is available as part of the AWS IDE Toolkit and integrates with multiple IDEs—including Visual Studio Code, AWS Cloud9, or the AWS Lambda console—and currently supports C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript. During the preview period, developers can use CodeWhisperer at no cost.
* For any business that depends on search—Netflix, Google, ChatGPT and WSJ—metadata is one of the secrets to organizing the universe.
* National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a project of MHRD initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003, to provide quality education to anyone interested in learning from the IITs. Since 2013, through an online portal, 4-, 8-, or 12-week online courses, typically on topics relevant to students in all years of higher education along with basic core courses in sciences and humanities with exposure to relevant tools and technologies, are being offered. The enrolment to and learning from these courses involves no cost. An in-person, proctored certification exam (optional) will be conducted at Rs. 1000/- per course and a certificate is provided through the participating institutions and industry, when applicable.
* SWAYAM is the National MOOCs portal being developed by MoE, Govt. of India. In order to ensure best quality content is produced and delivered, seven National Coordinators have been appointed under SWAYAM. NPTEL is the official SWAYAM national coordinator for engineering.
