* Next.js is an open-source web development framework created by the private company Vercel providing React-based web applications with server-side rendering and static website generation.
* Preact is a lightweight and fast library that provides the same modern API as React, but with a much smaller footprint (3Kb) and a thinner Virtual DOM abstraction.
* Astro works a lot like a static site generator. If you have ever used Eleventy, Hugo, or Jekyll (or even a server-side web framework like Rails, Laravel, or Django) then you should feel right at home with Astro. It is a web framework that can be used with any major JavaScript framework, such as React, Preact, Svelte, Vue, Solid, Lit, and AlpineJS.
* VS Code Remote Container allows you to use a Docker container as a full-featured development environment
* Many cloud providers, such as AWS and Azure, provide free data ingestion services. However, when it comes to extracting data from their platforms, the associated bandwidth costs can be substantial. Google Cloud is eliminating data egress fees or 'exit fees' for departing customers who want to migrate their data to another cloud provider.
* LLMOps is a rapidly developing field that takes ideas from MLOps (machine learning operations) and specializes them for building and deploying LLM-based applications.
* Google's Bard has made a stunning leap, surpassing GPT-4 to the SECOND SPOT on the LMSYS Chatbot Arena leaderboard - a crowdsourced open platform for LLM evals.

* The U.S. consular team in India issued over 140,000 student visas in 2023, setting a record for the third consecutive year. Hyderabad emerged as one of the top four student visa processing posts in the world, along with Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai. The demand for visas across all categories witnessed an exceptional surge, recording a remarkable 60% increase in applications compared with 2022.
* A day after Raidurg traffic police instructed ‘Kumari aunty’, a social media star and owner of a roadside food stall in Madhapur, to close her stall and relocate, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy intervened, stating that she can continue selling food at the same location. The street vendor gained fame attracting YouTubers and Instagram influencers to her stall, offering rice, chicken, mutton curry, and various non-vegetarian items.
* RBI has barred Paytm Payments Bank from offering all kinds of banking services for non-compliances. Paytm Payments Bank is owned by One97 Communications(49%), the listed entity, and its founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma (51%). Last year, Berkshire Hathway sold its stake in Paytm at a loss. As many as 68 mutual fund schemes held shares worth Rs 1,995 cr in Paytm as of Dec 31.
