Popular AI Assistants/Chatbots that you can conditionally use for free -

  1. ChatGPT - powered by OpenAI's GPT LLMs. Prompt examples & guidance
  2. Copilot - built on a combination of advanced large language models at Microsoft.
  3. Gemini chatbot was upgraded to the Gemini LLM in December 2023. Check Google AI Prompt best practices to make the best out of it.
  4. NotebookLM is built using the standard Gemini 1.5 Pro and 1.5 Flash models without any specialised fine-tuning.
  5. Perplexity  - choose from GPT, Claude, and Perplexity models.
  6. Groq - choose from Gemma, Llama & Mixtral LLMs 
  7. Claude is powered by the mid-range Claude 3 Sonnet. The free version uses Claude Haiku in case of increased traffic. Claude Prompt Library has 60+ examples.
  8. Cohere Coral is powered by Command, an English-only model
  9. Pi is powered by "Inflection-1", a proprietary large language model developed and trained by Inflection AI entirely in-house. 
  10. Meta AI chat is powered by the open-source Llama model. 
  11. Mistral AI models are available with le Chat, where you can explore Mistral’s range of models, including Mistral-large. Mistral AI declares that it does not use data from La Plateforme API (neither inputs nor outputs) to train its models.
  12. PartyRock is a tool that makes it easy to create AI-powered apps in a playground powered by Amazon Bedrock. Subscriber access is required for the heavy duty models and for the other models, access is limited and conditional.
  14. AI21 Studio currently employs its Jamba Instruct model for its web-based chat application.
  15. Chatbot Arena is an open-source research project developed by members from LMSYS and UC Berkeley SkyLab. It has built an open crowdsourced platform to collect human feedback and evaluate 30+ LLMs under real-world scenarios. You can compare two anonymous models at a time.
  16. Clipdrop by Jasper allows you to try Stable Diffusion for free. Unlike models like DALL-E, Stable Diffusion makes its source code available, along with the model (pretrained weights). 
Prompting strategies may vary slightly according to the model you want to target but at a minimum it helps to remember these points in order to write a good prompt -

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2024 Generative AI Professional Course & Certification Exam (1Z0-1127-24)

I was happy to learn about the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2024 Generative AI Professional Course with video tutorials and the Certification Exam (1Z0-1127-24) from their newsletter. I found it extremely useful, timely, and relevant. The course, with about 6 hours of videos, provided me with a comprehensive view of what it takes to build a Generative AI application. Although some parts reference OCI services, much of the course remains vendor neutral. Rohit Rahi and his team at Oracle have done a great job of structuring the beginner-friendly yet comprehensive course so well, covering all the essentials across four modules. The curriculum strikes an excellent balance between depth and accessibility.  While Gen AI output is typically non-deterministic, I was surprised to learn that they can be made completely deterministic under certain conditions.
