Finally, good news on Climate change - We'll all be equally miserable soon!

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

While individual actions & awareness are important, addressing climate change requires a unified and concerted effort from local communities, cities, and nations working collaboratively to tackle its challenges.

The first climate COP meeting was held in Berlin, Germany in March, 1995. The Paris Agreement, adopted at COP21 in 2015, is a landmark international agreement on climate change.  Its main goal is to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels.

In the 2023 COP28 summit in petrostate Dubai, all that participating countries could do was commit to "contribute" to "transitioning away from fossil fuels". At a time when fossil fuels should have been significantly reduced due to the extreme weather events (floods in Dubai & Sahara, record-setting hotter summers, deadlier storms & cyclones) that have happened since last year, COP29 is being hosted in a Baku, a major fossil fuel producer

Leaders of the 13 biggest emitters of carbon — countries responsible for more than 70% of 2023's heat-trapping gases — did not attend COP29.

Global carbon emissions have consistently exceeded targets necessary to limit warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

2024 is on track to be hottest year on record!

How many more Nature signals will humans need to develop a collective conscience to save what remains of the Earth?
